Dato che l’evento ciclistico si svolgerà per la prima volta in luglio (9 luglio 2023), la fase di registrazione è stata ovviamente anticipata. Dal 1° al 30 novembre 2022 circa 20.000 ciclisti faranno nuovamente domanda per i 4.000 posti di partenza.
L'Ötztaler è un mito. Ogni anno circa 4.000 ciclisti hanno un sogno: portare a termine la maratona ciclistica più impegnativa delle Alpi e completare in anticipo la fase di registrazione. La "Ötztaler" percorre 227 chilometri da Sölden attraverso quattro passi alpini (Kühtai, Brennero, Giovo e Rombo) verso l'Alto Adige e ritorno. I partecipanti superano gli incredibili 5.500 metri di dislivello e il più veloce raggiunge il traguardo in un tempo record di poco più di sette ore.
La Ötztaler sarà il regalo di Natale per 4.000 ciclisti.
Ieri, 1 novembre 2022, ha avuto inizio la fase di registrazione per la Ötztaler Radmarathon. "A novembre, chiunque sia interessato può iscriversi alla 42a Ötztaler Radmarathon. E a metà dicembre, giusto in tempo per Natale, tutti i principianti saranno informati se potranno partecipare oppure no", afferma il direttore del Comitato Organizzatore Dominic Kuen.
La Ötztaler Radmarathon è l'ammiraglia del ciclismo nella vallata tirolese dell’Ötztal e in tutta Europa. Nel 2023 la data sarà spostata per la prima volta da fine settembre al 9 luglio 2023.

It's one of the hottest times of the year for a cyclist: Will I get my starting place in the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon? Since the most classic marathon of the Alps will take place for the first time next year already on 09 July 2023, the registration period is of course much earlier. From 01 to 30 November 2022, around 20000 cyclists will again apply for the 4000 highly coveted starting places.
The “Ötztaler” is a myth. Every year, around 4000 racing cyclists have a dream: to finish the most challenging cycle marathon in the Alps and - even before - to complete the registration successfully. The "Ötztaler" covers 227 kilometers from Sölden over four Alpine passes (Kühtai saddle, Brenner pass, Jaufen pass and Timmelsjoch) towards South Tyrol and back again. The participants conquer an unbelievable 5500 altitude meters and the fastest among them reach the finish line in a record time of just over seven hours.
Ötztaler Christmas present for 4000 cycling aficionados
On 01 November 2022, the probably most popular registration period for hobby sportspeople starts – get ready for the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon. "In November, anyone interested can register for the 42nd edition of the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon. And in mid-December, just in time for Christmas, all fixed starters will be informed," states OC boss Dominic Kuen. The Ötztaler Cycle Marathon is a myth, which was recently reported by none other than the reigning German professional champion Nils Politt at the BORA-hansgrohe team camp in Sölden: "Many of my Berlin cycling friends were already at the start and they talked about a lot of unbelievable, positive experiences. Of course, there is also a lot of suffering on so many mountain stages, but that's part of the Ötztaler. I'm sure that I'll start here after my professional career!"
The Ötztaler Cycle Marathon is THE cycling flagship in Ötztal and throughout Europe. In 2023, the date will be moved from the end of August to 09 July 2023 for the first time. “Following the successful marathon this year, we are already receiving countless calls and emails. Already the registration for the Ötztaler is a true experience every year, for our OC team and of course primarily for the amateur cyclists from all over the world," Kuen concludes.
